From Creating Designs to Designing My Journey Every professional journey begins with something simple — an opportunity. For me, that opportunity came when I joined TekWissen as a fresher. I stepped into the organization with enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to learn without knowing exactly where the journey would take me. Looking back today, I realize that TekWissen didn't just give me my first job; it gave me a blank canvas on which I could begin designing my professional journey. I started my career as a Graphic Designer, a role that introduced me to much more than creativity and visual design. It taught me how to understand requirements, work with different people, manage deadlines, respond to feedback and turn ideas into meaningful outcomes. Every project brought a new requirement, every challenge brought a new lesson and every experience gradually helped me become more confident in my abilities. But growth often begins with curiosity. As I became more comfortable with my work, I started asking myself a simple question: “What else can I learn?” That question opened a new chapter in my career. My journey gradually moved from Graphic Design to UI/UX Design. It was more than simply learning a new skill or moving into a different area of design. It changed the way I looked at design itself. I began thinking not only about how something looks but also about how it feels, how it works and how a person experiences it. This transition challenged me to step outside my comfort zone, learn continuously and look at problems from a different perspective. It reminded me that professional growth doesn't always mean moving in a straight line. Sometimes it means being willing to explore a new direction. Along the way there were moments that made the journey even more meaningful. The appreciations and awards I received for my work became some of my most memorable professional milestones. For someone who started as a fresher these moments meant more than recognition. They gave me confidence, encouraged me to push my boundaries and reminded me that consistent effort does get noticed. However, no journey is built by one person alone. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with managers, colleagues and teammates who have contributed to my growth in different ways. Their guidance, feedback, encouragement and support have helped me learn not only as a professional but also as a person. Every interaction, every challenge and every piece of feedback has added something valuable to my journey. Today as I look back at five years with TekWissen I find it interesting to think about how much can change in five years. I joined as a fresher. I started as a Graphic Designer. I explored, learned and challenged myself. I transitioned into UI/UX Design. I received recognition for my work. And somewhere along the way I became a more confident and capable professional. The biggest change however isn't just in my designation or skill set. It is in the person I have become through the experiences. As I approach my sixth year with TekWissen this December I don't look at the past five years as a completed chapter. I see them as the foundation for everything that comes next. Every designer knows that a good design is never really about the first version. It evolves through ideas, feedback, changes, challenges and continuous improvement. I believe a career is much the same. You learn. You adapt. You create. You improve. And you keep designing what comes next. Five years ago TekWissen gave me the opportunity to begin with a blank canvas. Today I am grateful for all the experiences, people, opportunities, challenges and achievements that have shaped that canvas. And the best part? The design is still in progress. I am looking forward to learning more, embracing new challenges, creating meaningful work and continuing to grow with TekWissen. I am truly grateful to TekWissen for being the place where my professional journey began and for being such an important part of the person and professional I am today. Five years down.
